Commercial training courses for audit teams have been available since the 1970's.  These courses have been instrumental in setting "standards" for audit personnel.  However, completion of such a training course by no means guaranteed the candidate to be a good auditor.

To meet the immediate needs of industry who have to conform to exacting QA standards, those who have to audit suppliers, those who are setting up internal teams to audit their own QA systems and the personnel who carry out the audits, Ashbrooke Quality Assurance has organized a series of auditor training courses.  The aim of these courses is to provide in-depth training at various discipline levels for suitably qualified personnel in the specialized practices and techniques of auditing, from internal audits to subcontractor audits relating, as appropriate, to the systems requirements of ISO 9000 Series, ISO 14000 Series, ISO / IEC 17025 and ISO 13485.

Designing, documenting and implementing a documented management system can be expensive.  The primary mission in these courses is to ensure that investments achieve results.
